A touching romance with action along the way

September 8, 2026

Unexpectedly for myself, I really enjoyed this adventurous romance. Through the whole story, I could make choices that shaped the knight’s character and growing feelings for the princess.

It felt like I really relived all the memories my character mentioned and really did my best to get the happy ending, which I then did.

The voice over was great and the different characters’ expressions were on the spot.

Sweet twist on a classic tale.

**4.5/5 ⭐️**

I really enjoyed For Honor of the Princess. One of my favorite parts was the LGBTQ+ representation. I really appreciated that it felt like a natural part of the characters and story instead of something thrown in just for the sake of representation. I loved seeing a familiar kind of fairy-tale story told in a way that felt more inclusive and modern. Overall it was a really fun read with a sweet twist on the classic story.

An Engaging Premise and Serviceable Execution

Juni 7, 2026

I’m not so much concerned with the choices themselves as I am with the dilemma faced by Lady Margaret between her knighthood and the princess. The conflict is engaging, and the choices themselves, for the most part, serve their function. I find this to be because I found that most are generally informed by the theme of allegiance/devotion. However, the narrative would have been strengthened if my playthrough had included a flashback sequence featuring Lady Margaret and the princess, similar to the one we received concerning her knighthood (I’m unsure if these are locked behind choices). This would have provided more of an effective balance to Lady Margaret’s internal conflict. That said, I did enjoy this story nonetheless 🙂

High on Detail, Low on Emotion

Mai 19, 2026

The romance in this story was overpowered by backstory and details. I felt as though the choices didn’t have stakes, and that the actual romance part was very rushed at the end. In fairness, this is a genre I’ve crafted in a professional capacity, so ky standards are sky-high. Men writing a lesbian love story is often a turnoff to women, on its face…more attention to relationship building and emotion could mitigate this.

Interesting yet I was losing my focus

While listening to this story I found myself checking my phone quite a few times – indication that the story was not too engaging to me. The narrator does a phenomenal job, really smooth performance but I cared not about the characters.
