I found playing as Oathbreaker, an exciting magical occupation, very intriguing from the beginning, and as the story progressed, I was not disappointed.

This is a great fantasy adventure with distinct characters and interesting events happening to the protagonist one after another. The voice acting in this story was really well done and paced, both with character portrayal and narration.

I liked that I got to see both sides of the coin before making my decision and that I really controlled the final decision. All of that, combined with remarkable writing, makes a story I would recommend to anyone appreciating the fantasy genre!

The Oathbreaker is a wonderful story about greed, love, power, and choice. You begin as an Oathbreaker on his first mission.

In this story, an Oath is a bond that has specific consequences for those involved. The two ways to break an Oath are through the Path of Revocation and the Path of Death. One takes something of value, the other takes a life.

You come across a town called Dargonbre, made prosperous by an “Alechemist” called Lyndon, who can turn water into ale. However, as a result of this, the land outside the town is desolate and gray, and there is no water for the wildlife to drink from and survive.

You learn that the Oath is between Lyndon and a dragon named Thern. The subject of this Oath is a stone of great power that can grant wishes for Lyndon or provide an offspring for Thern. You decide what path to take to break this Oath (Revocation or Death) and then how it affects both parties.

This game is for those who enjoy making choices with great consequences that affect the fates of entire places and people in the story.

From the very beginning, it’s clear that your choices have real impact and shape how the story unfolds. I really enjoyed the dialogue, it feels vivid and realistic, and the characters are both unique and memorable. Fantasy stories aren’t usually my cup of tea, but I was completely immersed in the player and the story, so this gets a 5/5 from me.

Loved it! The story is well-written, and the voice actor is committed to giving an immersive performance, making each character feel unique.

Even though the whole game takes no more than half an hour, and we’re only given relevant information about the world, it seemed vast and lived-in, like there was so much lore behind the scenes.

I also loved that the main choice was based on moral values, making the ending feel truly satisfying.

For me, it could easily become a series with the Oathbreaker traveling the world and solving cases. I’d definitely play more.

This story, written with incredibly immersive and well fleshed out descriptions, lets you slip into the role of an oathbreaker on their first mission and allows you to make important choices, while introducing intriguing characters and an interesting setup. All that brought to life with some nice voice-acting made for a very enjoyable playthrough.
