You are a newly enrolled student at Fiat Amor, a prestigious women’s magical academy. As part of the new student welcome festivities, you will be participating in the annual Incipiunt Magicae competition, in which you will form a group of two with another freshman student.
Together with your unlikely ally, you will strive to be the first team to cast a sync spell strong enough to break the Dark Crystal at the center of a maze. Use your quick thinking and magical prowess to take on fearsome foes and sneaky sabotages as you traverse the maze!
With the strength of sync spells matching the strength of the bond between the casters, you will also have to figure out how to get close with your aloof teammate along the journey! Will you find a way to get closer as friends…or maybe even something more?

Fiat Amor was a fun and magical adventure. I liked that before the competition itself there was a possibility to explore the school and gain cool insights about this world. The variety of spells that could be cast was a nice surprise, though I just chose to attack anything that moves 🙂
The rivals/enemies to lovers in this case might need a bit more time and backstory to feel organic for me. The beginning foreshadows the relationship that is about to be developed, but I wished to get more information about the roots of protagonist’s crush on Annika.
The voiceover was highly expressive and well in tune with the story.
The choices worked well throughout most of the game. Near the end, the app kept crashing and would not recognize my voice, so I had to use the manual choice selection. The voice actors did a great job bringing the characters and their emotions to life. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable choice-based game.
This is a very cute tribute to Harry Potter, yet with unique and original elements and a romantic layer. The narrator is very engaging.
I enjoyed the story more than I thought I would. It was fun and engaging, and it has a feel-good quality (at least the branch/ending I ended up on).
However, the speed with which the relationship between the two changed from hate to love felt a bit forced. I also didn’t catch that the player character seemed to have a crush on Annika from the start. This part was also hard to believe because Annika treated her badly.
The enemies to lovers trope is a valid one, it just needs more time to develop imo. I’d also love more obstacles to overcome in the maze.
Overall, it’s a good story in its genre, so fans of the magical academy type and romantasy will probably be pleased.
I love fantasy and romance, so this story really stood out to me on Twist Tales. It’s engaging, and you can really immerse yourself, and bring your emotions into the story and see how they influence your choices.
I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys themes of romance and friendship.
