The story combines the ancient empires with classic hunting elements. After the discovery of a mangled corpse, you must venture with your mentor Quintus and your military unit to track down the murderer.
Along the way, you’ll encounter barbarians, the beast itself, and possibly more dead. In this gripping mix of fantasy, mystery and history, you alone must decide who you can trust!
Lovers of history and whodunits will find their place here, as well as anyone who enjoys a good adventure with a military fantasy vibe.
Horror elements such as the shadowy beast, bloody trails, and corpses are described in gripping detail.
In spooky moments on a camping trip in the forest, on a rainy day on the couch, or during a game night with your friends.

I always say there are two types of stories – plot over character, and character over plot. The stories with the greatest staying power are honestly those that do both and this one is close to achieving exactly that.
Playing this first episode, the historical basis of the world helps the story feel rich as the focus is the characters and their relationships to each other.
There doesn’t feel like too much choice in the outcomes of the story, but it still feels tailored and adjusted to the way the player responds.
I liked the premise, the characters, and the voice acting was absolutely on-point. The story is atmospheric and has potential. However, I felt that some of the playtime that could have been spent on investigation, fighting or making connections with the “barbarians” was wasted on idle conversation where you choose the PC’s backstory and motivations. None of that has any consequences in the game.
I was also disappointed that there was only one ending. Playing these stories I got used to having multiple, so it made me feel like my choices ultimately didn’t matter. I also didn’t really uncover anything about the beast — might be because of my choices, but without variety of endings or possibility to gain other knowledge or interesting experiences instead, it felt unsatisfying.
I think that one ending might work, but there should be several interesting paths leading to it, each of them with its own unique rewards.
This story had a wonderful main character, who was clearly strong, but could also be shaped by the player’s choices. With well-described scenes, engaging fights, nice interactions between characters and a mystery at its core, it presents its interesting plot in a way, that is definately worth a listen.
While the investigation aspect and the small talk segment didn’t really blow me away, I really enjoyed the fight scenes, where strategic decisions have clear consequences. Not to mention the world seems very interesting and intriguing.
As a fan of horror and mystery, this story felt like the perfect combination of both! I enjoyed this story a lot with its clues for the hunting but also the descriptive nature of the horror elements it showed. The historical theme of it also felt perfect for the enjoyment! I will be playing more stories with this similar genre again 🙂
