I love a romance

February 9, 2026

I liked the romance in the story, it worked really well for an audio format. The writing kept pulling me forward and made me want to know what happened next. The ending was a little unsatisfying, but as someone who loves love, I really enjoyed that part.

Interesting story, unsatisfying ending

January 28, 2026

I was really enjoying the story, and I was excited for what was going to happen next, only to realize it ended right there.

There are enough clues to figure out who our PC is and who kidnapped her, but we never find out why they let her live unlike the other nobles and royals, what happened to her best friend, who the bearded man in the garden was and what the rebels’ plans for her were.

If there was a part 2, I’d give it 5 stars and happily play. As it is, it leaves too many important questions unanswered.

Ending really pulled it down.

November 4, 2025

While I found the story very engaging, the open ending ending really pulled it donw for me, becuase there are so many open questions.

However, besides that the voiceacting and the writing of the sequences is really good.

Where Are We Going?

October 2, 2025

Despite not being the infamous “romantasy” genre’s biggest fan, “Stolen Birthright” has some engrossing lore. It invites exploration. Yet, many times throughout, you’re asked to pick a path, only to find your decision quietly opted out of.

And even though executed capably, the central trope doesn’t fully connect. Learning about Jude quickly becomes the most rewarding thread… *but* the reserved main character slowly realizing what is right in front of her only through this mysterious leading man, is kind of irritating.

Sonically, in many stretches, adding ambient sound could have helped the story come to life too. While the voice acting is pleasant and carries emotion well, Jude’s tone didn’t quite match his demeanor. The same was true with the guards, who carried a tougher presence in writing than per voice.

Then, ultimately, there’s the question hanging over everything: where are we going? Whether “losing consciousness” or leaving you “vanishing in darkness,” the final lines work more like a door quietly closing than a satisfying resolution.

Romance and fantasy - perfect story for teenagers

May 17, 2025

There are many facts and specific details, which create depth for the story. It is interesting to follow through and find out what happens next to discover whether Miranda can manage to escape, learn her history and whether she will end up with Jude. The story feels like something one reads on Wattpad where the main character is a shy woman with plain personality that relies on a man to open up her eyes, which is a bit cliche. However, teenagers might enjoy the story a lot, especially if the main character is a teenager herself.

Bonnie Bogovich does a great job narrating the story yet the voice over she does for the main character seems forced and does not fit the personality or sense of lost identity of the protagonist. If you are listening to this story without looking at the screen, it is not always obvious what to say when you need to make a decision

Overall:

I enjoyed listening to this story. It would be interesting to get more information on the origin of Miranda, why she was left at the convent, why Jude was supposed to pick her up and what exactly his goals were.
