Very interesting

I liked the sound effects that accompany the story and help the experience feel immersive. Maybe some ambient music in the background could fulfil the atmosphere even more. The story was interesting and entertaining. I could immerse myself in the narration and felt like a part of it. The southern accent narrating the story feels a tad forced and unnatural. Sometimes, the narrator goes too fast. The speech should be fast during important moments but it feels like the narrator put too much emphasis on speed and loudness rather than emotion and expression of fear.

Great Western Horror with an Resident Evil twist

May 15, 2025

Immersive atmosphere, interesting premise, easy to relate to the characters. Western horror is something that I don’t often see, and I enjoy. The exposition to choice ratio is well balanced. When you get into the house, the horror atmosphere ramps up nicely and the focus stays on the emotion, which I appreciated. The clues that you get feel satisfying, and you get a real sense of achievement when going through the story. I particularly liked things like moving the shelf to find a hidden area, and using the ‘right choice is the wrong choice’ line to turn the handle left. Using the key at the end when I was escaping was also really satisfying, and the reveal of ‘light’ actually being countless glow worms was cool.

I absolutely loved the reveal of Mrs. Pickett turning out to be a fungus creature. It reminded me a lot of Resident Evil 7; I wonder if that was one of the author’s inspirations when writing this piece. When I reached the end, and went to warn the town, it felt thoroughly satisfying. This is my favorite story I’ve played on this platform so far.

A delightfully terrifying marriage between the Wild West and horror

May 15, 2025

Terror at High Noon combines the Wild West and horror genres, creating a unique experience that will have you at the edge of your seat! I’d like to start by saying that the voice acting in this story is absolutely phenomenal! The voice actor did a great job at immersing the listener in the Wild West setting from the start. The sound design is similarly immersive, and SFX are timed well within the script. Really adds to the horror element of the story, since you can clearly visualize what the character is experiencing in these gripping moments.

The choices throughout are very clear and it is evident that much care went into writing meaningful options. I also like that your choices remain impactful throughout the story, such as how you choose to handle Rusty at the start. The subtle hints towards the correct choices also help to make this a good interactive experience, as it’s not just guess work to figure out. Invites the listener to really engage in the story and critically think about their next move. These interesting choices also encourage the listener to get invested in the story and play again to see all the different endings (I know for one, that I will be back to play more soon haha).

The horror writing throughout the story is wonderfully descriptive, sending shivers down your spine as you play. The voice acting and sound design only add to the tension here, escalating at key story moments to keep you on edge. Overall, all these elements come together to create a well-crafted interactive audio story!

The Horrors are yet to come

May 13, 2025

Terror at High Noon easily takes the top spot among all the interactive audio games I’ve played so far.

It grabs you from the first second and doesn’t let go. The tension is real, the pacing is relentless, and the atmosphere? Chef’s kiss horror.

What really makes it stand out are the small, clever lore hints scattered throughout. Miss them, and good luck surviving. Catch them, and you might just make it through the nightmare.

The voice acting and sound design are next-level. Every creak, whisper, and scream pulls you deeper in. I wasn’t just playing, I was the character. Scared, on edge, completely immersed.

If you’re into horror and want a story that spikes your adrenaline and keeps it there: this one’s for you.

Perfect Voice Actor

May 12, 2025

The story was really good, but what made it amazing was the voice actor’s performance. He truly showed how a story can be elevated when it’s told with such passion and skill.

Plus, the ambient sound was really well chosen and evoked different emotions in me, like fear and hope.
